SUMMER CAMP DIRECTOR
Pearce Williams Summer Camp & Retreat Facility (PW) is looking for a qualified Summer Camp Director to lead our summer camp team and oversee the program for the months of July and August. The Summer Camp Director will work with the Pearce Williams full-time staff to provide our campers with an amazing camp experience.
The Summer Camp Director’s abilities will include proven leadership skills, strong organizational skills, a love of summer camp, problem solving skills, the ability to work with children and staff and the ability to perform all job duties in a Christ like manner. PW campers range in age from 5 to 15; staff range in age from 16 to 25.
The job description for all staff at Pearce Williams is to do what needs to be done to ensure that our summer campers have the most amazing summer camp experience.
The Summer Camp Director will have a Standard First Aid Certificate, a current criminal reference check and relevant experience. Swimming qualifications (NLS) an asset, but not necessary.
Our summer program consists of seven week long sessions and pre-summer training events, which the Summer Camp Director is expected to organize and attend, as follows;

A training day & site orientation on Saturday, May 6, 2023

A training weekend – Friday, May 26 to Sunday, May 28

A staff and CIT training week – Sunday, July 9 to Friday, July 14

We then run 6 weeks of camp from July 16, 2022 to August 25, 2023.
Dates: Start in January, 2023 (part-time), working through October, 2023. Live on-site starting in June, 2023, to August 27, 2023. Ability to extend on-site living into May is available.
We currently have one (1) opening for the Summer Camp Director position.
Compensation: Varies depending on experience, with the potential for this position to become full-time. Range is $11,000 - $13,500 for duties. The position includes room, board, and use of facilities during the summer.
