To the Pearce Williams Community,
With an extremely heavy heart, I am announcing that as of November 2019, I will be leaving my position as Camp Director at Pearce Williams Summer Camp and Retreat Facility.
Before the summer of 2020, my partner and I will be following our passion for seeing the world through teaching and mission opportunities abroad.
In the fall, I will be assisting in preparing for the spring and summer of 2020 and working to create a smooth transition for a new Camp Director as they take on this wonderful role.
I am immensely grateful for the opportunity that I've had to be a servant of the Pearce Williams over the last three years. I'm proud of the work that we have all put into making camp better, safer and more magical. It was, and is, an honour to be a part of this place and this community.
To the campers and camper families who I've gotten to know online and in person, thank you for trusting camp with your children. Thank you for the emails, phone calls and camp visits where you taught me about how special this place is to you and your kids.
To the summer staff and alumni, especially those I've worked with since my beginning at Pearce Williams, thank you for growing with me and allowing me to share my experiences as a new person in this community. You all have a special place in my heart.
To Shannon, Joe, Flash, David and Matt, thank you for being my year-round colleagues. I'll miss our weekly meetings, lunches on the porch and getting to laugh and grow with you every day. You all truly made this place feel like home for me.
This has been an incredibly fun and life-changing experience for me. I am leaving on what I feel is such a great wave of positivity at Pearce Williams and I can't wait to hear how we will grow even more with a new Camp Director.
Thanks for the day, comrades. More love, stand firm and be together.
