At Pearce Williams Summer Camp & Retreat Facility, our aim is to provide the best summer camp experience for your child. Pearce Williams strives to do this in a non-competitive, caring way, allowing your child to discover the world around them, while promoting success, self-confidence and self-esteem in a safe, secure and stimulating environment, while living and growing within our Christian community.

The emphasis is always on participation, effort and attitude! We feel that camp is a unique place where every child can be a winner. We provide campers with the opportunity to become part of a family, where they can take healthy risks, get rewarded for successes and develop self-esteem and life skills. In the meantime they will learn about independence, interdependence, tolerance, responsibility, friendship and loyalty.

It is at summer camp that they learn to take risks, learn to resolve conflicts in a natural manner, learn to appreciate and protect our environment, learn to stay healthy, learn to be responsible for their personal belongings, and learn to have fun with unabashed enthusiasm.

CYOA's are back!

A life without loveis like a year without summer..png

CYOA stands for choose your own adventure. This consists of a session that runs for an hour everyday. Campers go to the same session everyday in which said session teaches them a skill.

This week we have some incredible CYOA's running. Mural making is running in which campers design their own piece of art to paint on a piece of drywall throughout the week. Duck tape do da's is another session which teaches campers how to make and form things with creative and interesting duct tape. Cheer-leading boot-camp has our very own cheer-leading instructor whom campers learn a cheer-leading routine from. Movie making requires campers to write a script and then film their movie throughout the week. We have choral singing in which camper's are learning how to use their vocal chords to make beautiful music. Lastly we have the Roberta Bondar program in which campers learn how to take stunning photos of nature and the ability to use a camera and it's many different settings.

Each CYOA this week will teach camper's different skills and hopefully be preformed or shown to the rest of camp at our Thursday telethon.

Check back tomorrow to hear more about camp.
