Pearce Williams Christian Centre seeks Maintenance Team Leader
Pearce Williams is seeking a new team member to oversee the maintenance of our facility.
Pearce Williams is a summer camp and year round retreat facility set on a 180 acre site with 17 buildings, 7 km of trails and a 56 year history of giving young people an amazing summer camp experience.

We are looking for someone who is a plumber, electrician, heating & cooling technician, landscaper, cleaner, carpenter, farmer and all around nice person. We realize that you may not be all of these things, but it would be nice if you were.
The primary portion of your time will be spent doing general maintenance and upkeep on the 180 acre grounds and the 17 buildings on site. There are also projects on our vision plan which will be worked on as well. If help is needed – you will be able to ask for it, you will also be willing to help in other areas of the camp operation as we focus on doing what needs to be done to give the campers the most amazing camp experience. Pearce Williams is looking for the right personality to work with our volunteers, board members, summer staff and permanent staff team – our office manager, summer director, cleaner, bookkeeper and executive director. We are hiring for personality before skill – you can be taught skills you do not have and/or we can call in a professional to do the job right.
Skills our ideal team member will have include: great communication skills – written and oral; be a problem-solver; able to accept help and seek help if needed; be flexible and adaptable – no two days at camp are the same and plans change; focus on health and safety of self and all camp staff and clients; have attention to detail in all work; have great time management skills; accepting of all people – race, religion, ability and culture; able to plan and execute planned work; focus on getting jobs done right; able to laugh at self and have a sense of humor.
We are looking for a good fit for our team – this could mean 20 hours per week, year round or it could mean 20 hours for 5 months and 40 hours for 7 months. Our hours are flexible and we are willing to discuss our needs and balance them with the desires of a new team member. Pay will depend on experience and will be discussed at interview time.
