At Pearce Williams Christian Centre Summer Camp & Retreat Facility, our aim is to provide the best summer camp experience for your child.  Pearce Williams strives to do this in a non-competitive, caring way, allowing your child to discover the world around them, while promoting success, self-confidence and self-esteem in a safe, secure and stimulating environment, while living and growing within our Christian community.

The emphasis is always on participation, effort and attitude!  We feel that camp is a unique place where every child can be a winner.  We provide campers with the opportunity to become part of a family, where they can take healthy risks, get rewarded for successes and develop self-esteem and life skills.  In the meantime they will learn about independence, interdependence, tolerance, responsibility, friendship and loyalty.

It is at summer camp that they learn to take risks, learn to resolve conflicts in a natural manner, learn to appreciate and protect our environment, learn to stay healthy, learn to be responsible for their personal belongings, and learn to have fun with unabashed enthusiasm.

Every Child Deserves a Week at Camp

Testimonials

Here are what some of those participants have to say - when ask to describe their ThinkCamp experience in a single sentence:

"A group of passionate professionals inspiring each other in 20 minutes or less."  - Marc Cooper, Director, Camp Tamarack & Director of Wow @ Wowmentum

"It has been 6 years since I've last been at ThinkCamp, but I still remember the experience vividly and the valuable lessons I took from some very fine and insightful presentations. I highly anticipate its return." - Adam Strasberg, Summer Camp Director, Camp Karwartha

"ThinkCamp was an amazing experience.  I've been to many conferences but few have left me as energized, encouraged, and stuffed-full-of-new-ideas as ThinkCamp!" - Adam Brown, Senior Consultant and the Director of Challenge Course Client Services, Adventureworks

"I learn more in one day, than attending three conferences and going to the maximum of individual workshops!" - Alf Grigg, Co-ordinator, Recreation & Leisure Services, Seneca College

" 1 sentence!?!? Oh my, that’s a hard one!!
Well, ThinkCamp for me was an incredible experience that helped me develop my public speaking skills in a safe environment with people who believed in the love of camp like I do. I really felt like I could share my love of all that is camp in an educational way that I believe had a lasting impact on those around me as I had people message me after the conference to discuss things further. That was a GREAT feeling!
It was a special conference that fostered creative thinking and a way to share your ideas and passions in as little as 10 minutes (which is MUCH MORE appealing to some) or REALLY get into a topic during a “longer session” (I think it was an hour??).
It really was the BEST conference/meeting of the minds that I’ve ever been to! I would totally do my best to get back to Ontario for this in November!!:)" - Vanessa Doak, Associate Director, Camp Summit & Outdoor Education Centre

"A memorable weekend filled with relevant information and fun; shared by an intimate group of colleagues and friends." - Michael Bakker

"ThinkCamp exceeded every other camping conference - by far - for one simple reason: EVERY PARTICIPANT WAS ALSO A SESSION LEADER, which created the most dynamic, meaningful, communication exchange ever." Jay Haddad, Senior Director, Camp Nokomis

"A weekend workout of challenging thoughts, my ThinkCamp experience changed not only how I looked at camping, but how I looked at the world." - Markus Fehr

"In my experience, Think Camp remains to be one of the most content rich, thoughtful, and motivating conferences that I have had the pleasure of attending. Tons of knowledge, short time commitment, learning from other intellectuals, peers, mentors from our field, all relevant topics - Time well spent!" - Chantal Jackson, Co-Executive Director, Cairn Camping

"A fresh experience sharing in the camp community."  Jason Sargent, Wild Life Camp

"Think Camp...makes you think...is exactly as described...and a conference/workshop where you participate in more sessions than any other professional development conference I go to." - Bill Stevens, Director, Camp Big Canoe
